EVENT DETAILS
DATE AND LOCATION
The wedding will take place on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Eden Garden Events Hall in Israel. Further information can be found here.
FORMAL DRESS CODE
Israeli formal is elegant, festive, and comfortable. For women, this means cocktail dresses, midi or maxi dresses, or elegant evening attire. Lightweight fabrics are common, and heels, wedges, or dressy flats are all appropriate. For men, dress pants with a button-down or polo shirt are perfect. Ties are optional, and blazers or jackets are welcome but not required. As the ceremony will take place outdoors, we recommend choosing footwear and fabrics accordingly. Following the ceremony, dinner and dancing will take place indoors.

MONEY AND
TIPPING
CREDIT CARDS AND CASH
Most major credit cards are widely accepted, and Apple Pay is commonly used.
Cash may be needed at markets such as Carmel Market or the Jaffa Flea Market.
USD, Euro, and GBP are generally not accepted.
Currency exchange is available at the airport and around the city (airport rates are usually less favorable).
TIPPING
In restaurants, a tip of around 12% is customary for good service. If the service is excellent, 15% is appreciated. Tips must be added before the card is charged or left in cash.
VAT AND TAXES
Israeli VAT is 18%. Israeli citizens are required to pay VAT. Guests who are not Israeli citizens should keep the entry slip received upon arrival in Israel and present it at hotels or car rental agencies to be exempt from VAT. For shopping VAT refunds, you will need the original receipt, the item purchased, and a tax exemption form from the store.
GENERAL
ELECTRICAL ADAPTERS
Israel uses the same plug type as most of Europe. UK adapters will not work.
FOOD DELIVERY
Wolt is the main food delivery app in Israel. You can order to hotels, beaches, parks, and more. Use code SQCB2 for a discount on your first order.
RESTAURANT RESERVATIONS
We recommend booking popular restaurants one to two weeks in advance. Reservations can be made directly through restaurant websites or via Ontopo, the local equivalent of OpenTable. Hotels are also happy to assist.
GROCERIES
Popular supermarket chains include AM:PM, Super Yuda, and Tiv Taam.
BEACHES
Tel Aviv beaches are free and open to the public. Chairs and umbrellas can be rented for a small fee in cash or via the Beaches app (IOS/Android). Glass bottles are not permitted on the beach.
LANGUAGE
English is widely spoken throughout Israel, especially in Tel Aviv.
OPENING HOURS AND SHABBAT
The workweek runs Sunday through Thursday. From Friday evening to Saturday evening, many shops and malls close. In Tel Aviv, however, most cafes, restaurants, bars, gyms, and beaches remain open, and taxis are still available.
TAP WATER
Tap water in Israel is safe to drink.
